Salad Dressing! Blend a few TBS of the brine from any of our ferments with some olive oil and vinegar of your choice and the salad dressing becomes more vibrant and complex and naturally salty. To further complement the dressing, toss in 1/2 cup of the Kootenay Kraut or The Real Dill.
- Asian dressing: Mix Kokanee Kimchi brine with seasoned rice vinegar, a dash of tamari or soy sauce, olive oil and toasted sesame oil. Shake and serve.
- Oil and vinegar: Mix Kootanay Kraut’s brine with balsamic or red wine vinegar, mustard, honey and olive oil. Shake and serve.
Zesty Hummus: Stir in a few forkfuls of our Curtido into a plain hummus. Amazing!
Potato Salad: Make your traditional potato salad pop by stirring in a cup of The Real Dill.
Poached Eggs: Serve on a bed of sautéed greens and rice and top with a dash of Kokanee Kimchi.
Tacos/burritos/beans and Rice: We find that all of these taste amazing topped with our Latin American inspired Curtido.
Fried Rice: Add a few forkfuls of our Kokanee Kimchi to your fried rice! Delicious!
